Mr. Harry James Stegall, 70

Mr. Harry James Stegall was born in Telfair County Sept. 6, 1953, to the late Mr. Samuel and Mrs. Rosa Stegall Bowens. Mr. Stegall was educated in Telfair County School. He died Dec. 8 at Jeff Davis Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents,  great-granddaughter Kalani LaGrant, and siblings Daniel (Nancy) Conaway, Beatrice (Jerry) King, and Loretta (James) Tobler.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Hattie Lee Stegall; children Antonio Stegall, Christie Stegall King, and Danielle (Steven) Hamilton, all of Hazlehurst; grandchildren Lafonzo “LJ”, Antavion, Natanya, Nathaniel II, Antavious, Jakhia, Zion, Anteonna, Samaria, Peyton, Kanaya, Devin, and Kasmine; great-grandchildren: Skyler, Ivy, Kamora, Autumn, and Kaiden; siblings, Glinda Conaway and Larry (Sarah) Conaway both of Lumber City and Ruth Hodo of Kennesaw. sister-in-laws Jackie (Montalve) Wolfolk, Eloise Tobler, and Mary Lean Salem all of Lumber City; brother-in-laws Milton Tobler and Herman Tobler of Lumber City and Bob Tobler of Jacksonville, Fla.; a host of very special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mr. Stegall was a long time employee of Rayonier Forest Products where he retired after working over 30 years. He was an avid fisherman who also loved to cook, dance, and spend time with friends and family. Mr. Stegall is well known in the local community for saying, “Wham! Bam! Thank You Ma,am!”
Visitation will be Dec. 15, from 4 to 6 p.mm at King Brothers Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be Dec. 16 at 11 a.m. at St. James CME Church in Lumber City.
