Mrs. Linda McLoon Williams, 78

Mrs. Linda McLoon Williams, 78, of Denton, passed away Oct. 28 at Southeast Georgia Health in Brunswick.
Mrs. Williams was born July 8, 1945, in Jeff Davis County. She is preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Eula Mae McLoon, son, Michael Tanner.
She was married to Mr. Dennis for 53 years and was a member of Macedonia Church of God. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Mercer University in Social Service. She retired from Pineland Mental Health Group after 15 years of service where she was the director of the Appling/Jeff Davis Service Center. After retirement she continued to be the decorator for Pineland, as well as her beloved church. Her skills for decorating was a gift from God and she used her gift to glorify him. Her favorite things in life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her favorite hobbies were fishing, shopping and planting flowers. She was a great southern classy woman who will be greatly missed by her community and family.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. Vernon Dennis Williams of Denton; son, Kevin Williams of Denton; daughter, Malinda Maness (William) of Statesboro; brother, Martin McLoon Jr. of Brunswick; grandchildren, Dr. Jason Williams (Rebecca) and their children, Anna Kate, Caleb, Luke and Leah of Statesboro, Julianna Clifton (Chris) and their child Elijah of Statesboro, Amber Sapp (Brendon) and their children November, Jillian, Lizzie and Jax of Claxton, Kali Williams and Kenzi Williams, and their mother Missy Givens of Broxton; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Oct. 31 at Macedonia Church of God in Denton, with her grandson, Dr. Jason Williams and the Rev. Van McCall officiating. Interment followed in Denton Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Dr. Jason Williams, Caleb Williams, Chris Clifton, Brendon Sapp, Stanley Land, and William Maness.
Music was rendered by Angie McCall.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
