Students visit Towns Bluff
Approximately 175 second graders and teachers from Lyons Primary School recently toured Towns Bluff Park and Heritage Center. The students rotated among seven educational and informative stations concerning the Altamaha River and its surroundings. They saw videos, enjoyed story telling, went on scavenger hunts, toured the museum, enjoyed listening to a fishery biologist from the Department of Natural Resources experienced old-fashioned corn shelling and participated in recreational activities. Towns Bluff Park appreciates those that helped with this exciting and educational event. Leaders who manned the stations were Tabitha Beckum, Carl Bishop, Brandon Lollis, Debbie Colson, Jim Page, Faye Bishop, Fonda Ussery, and Nadine Lollis.
