Mr. Ashley Shane Hughes, 47

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the Celebration of Life for Mr. Ashley Shane Hughes, 47, who passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence Oct. 14.
Shane was a simple man who was a truck driver by trade, but he really enjoyed taking off on the spur of the moment on road trips with his children and friends making lasting memories. He truly loved his family and dear friends. Shane lived life to the fullest in his short time here. Our hearts are broken but he’s left us with so many happy memories to share.
Shane is preceded in death by his father, Carlton Hughes; maternal grandfather, Herbert Pickren, and paternal grandparents, Mr. AND Mrs. Norman Hayes Sr. all of Hazlehurst.
Surviving are his children, Ashleigh (Pookie) Hughes and Tony (Bubba) Hughes both of Hazlehurst; mother and dad, Patricia and Perry White of Lumber City; siblings, Chris Hughes (Brandy Danison) of High Falls, Clay White of Lumber City, and Brandi Norris (Josh) of McRae; maternal grandmother, Maxine Pickren of Hazlehurst; nephew, Logan Hughes (Hayden) of Hazlehurst; nieces, Gracey Hughes (Jonathan Walker) of Lumber City and Jayda Norris of McRae; great-nephew, Paxton Walker of Lumber City; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Ronnie (Patty) Pickren at 458 Mathis Rd., Hazlehurst.
Family and friends will share a meal following the service. Anyone wishing to bring a dish will be greatly appreciated.
