Landon Chavis Runs For Office

Landon Chavis this week announced his candidacy for the Ward 4 seat on the Hazlehurst City Council.
Chavis was born and raised in Hazlehurst, graduated from Jeff Davis High School, and attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and Georgia Southern University.
He is employed by Jeff Davis Hospital and is on the Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis County Chamber of Commerce Board.
In making his announcement, he said, “I truly enjoy being involved in the growth and revitalization of Hazlehurst. I am married to my beautiful wife, Abi, who is a special education teacher. We have a 16-month-old son, Hinson, who is expecting his little sister in early October of this year. My family and I are members of Southside Baptist Church.
“My heart lies within Hazlehurst, and it is my goal to foster a prosperous community for our children to raise their own families in. Given the opportunity, I look forward to serving you as your city council representative and investing in a community that has invested so much in me.
