Jayvees Tie

Jeff Davis and Berrien High’s jayvee softball teams battled to an 8-8 tie last Monday in Hazlehurst.

Emma McEachin singled, tripled and drove in three runs to lead the offense. Clara McCall was 3-for-3 with an RBI, Alera Vann had a pair of singles, Madison Joyce and Jaqueline Villasenor both doubled and drove in a run, and Jazmine Villasenor, Payton Warnock and Riley Hughes all singled.

Hughes pitched five innings, giving up three earned runs on six hits, walking five and striking out three. McCall pitched two innings, giving up three runs on five hits, two walks and a strikeout.
