State Rep. Speaks To JD GOP
State Representative Bill Werkheiser met recently with local constituents at the Jeff Davis Library to give an update on legislation in Atlanta. He met members of the Jeff Davis County Republican Party and guests from surrounding counties. Light snacks were served before the meeting.
During a freewheeling question and answer session after his presentation, several topics were brought up. Among those still concerned about previous elections, the security of electronic voting machines was hotly debated, with several suggesting a return to paper ballots. Tax incentives to attract business and industry were shown to have not paid much, if any, in return. The local tax issue of reducing senior citizens’ school taxes was brought up again.
Congressman Werkheiser listened to the input , and noted how these issues were being addressed in Atlanta. While not everyone left satisfied, all were in agreement how important it was to have the entire county being represented by a single office for the first time in many years.
The local JDGOP will meet next on Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. in the library community room. All right-minded citizens are encouraged to attend.
After over 60 lawsuits were tossed objecting to results of the 2020 election, after numerous experts called it the “most secure” in history, and Ga Republicans Kemp, Raffensperger, Duncan and Sterling rebuked Trump for his lies, some people must think the only person telling the truth is Trump.
One definition of a cult is “A misplaced or excessive admiration for a particular person or thing.”
