Ms. April Shandre Shumans, 47

Ms. April Shandre Shumans, 47, of Hazlehurst, died Aug. 8.
April was born Dec. 20, 1975, in Metter.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Preston and Luna Mae Sellers and paternal grandparents, J.B. and Viola Shumans, and uncle, Randall Shumans.
April was a free-spirit. She loved to bake and shop. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, and enjoyed taking pictures. April loved everybody and everybody loved her. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed having them all together.
She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Jaeleigh Hughes of Hazlehurst; sons, Colby Taylor, Carson Taylor, Cameron Taylor, and Joshua Hughes, all of Hazlehurst; parents, Donnie and Nannette Sellers Shumans of Hazlehurst; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services were held Aug. 13 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Williamson and the Rev. Michael Beecher officiating.
Interment followed Aug. 14 in Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ronald Cobb officiating.
Active pallbearers were Colby Taylor, Carson Taylor, Cameron Taylor, Joshua Hughes, Michael Rowell, Preston Sellers, Grant Hall and Justin Hall.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
