Mr. Thomas Jason Halsel, 43

Mr. Thomas Jason Halsel, 43, of Hazlehurst, passed away Aug. 22.
Jason was born on July 27, 1980, in San Antonio, Texas, and was a veteran of the United States Marines. He attended Southside Baptist Church and was a devoted and loving father.  His greatest passion was to spend time with and support his children in the various endeavors of their lives and carry them fishing and to the beach. He was a truck driver with Circle K. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Aaron Halsel.
Survivors include his wife Celeste Halsel of Hazlehurst; daughter, Raegan Halsel of Hazlehurst; sons, Dylan (Kayla) Halsel of Fort Bragg, N.C., Ashton Halsel, and Lincoln Halsel both of Hazlehurst; mother, Nancy Halsel of Hazlehurst; sister, Heather (Josh) Lazarski of Racine, Wisc.; mother-in-law, Sandie Sinclair of Fillmore, Ind.; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members, including one expected grandson.
