Mr. Clifford Larry McDaniel, 78

Mr. Clifford Larry McDaniel, 78, of Hazlehurst, passed away Sept. 02, 2023 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah.
Mr. McDaniel was born Sept. 19, 1944, in Jeff Davis County.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Clifford “Pete” McDaniel and Waynez Ussery McDaniel and sister, Laverne McDaniel. He was retired from Southern Nuclear Company, after 40 years of service, a member of the Masons, and a member of First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst.
Mr. McDaniel was a 1962 graduate of Jeff Davis High School. He received a degree from South Georgia College and later graduated from Georgia State University. He was raised on the farm, and loved almost everything about it. He enjoyed fishing, quail hunting and dove shooting. He was a professional tinker, that was what he really enjoyed doing.
His family called him honorable, his life was simple. He was living the good life, loving his wife and raising his children.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Harriette Busby McDaniel of Hazlehurst; daughter, Lisa Marie McDaniel of St. Simons; son, Clifford Larry McDaniel Jr. of Hazlehurst; and grandson, James Connor McDaniel of Atlanta.
Services were held Sept. 4 at First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst with Mr. G.C. Herrington Jr. giving the eEulogy and the Rev. Brad Waters officiating. Interment followed in Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Steve McDaniel, Bill Ellis, G.C. Herrington Jr., Stanley Dyal, Jimmie Ryals, and Lloyd Kelsey Busby.
Music was rendered by Bridgette Corbin.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
