Mr. Kenneth David Meeks, 61

Mr. Kenneth David Meeks, 61, of Uvalda, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away June 25 at his home.
He was born June 20, 1962, in Independence, La., to the late Henry Kenneth and Mable Meeks. He graduated from Telfair High School in 1978 and was a retired long haul truck driver of 40 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Michael Shawn Meeks; stepson, Clifford Lee Beasley; sisters, Bonnie Johnson and Brenda Dubberly and husband Johnny; and brothers, Bobby and Darren Meeks.
Mr. Meeks is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Martha June Beasley Meeks; son, Christopher David Meeks and partner Amber Evans; sister, Mary Calhoun and husband Benny; brother-in-law, David Johnson; six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a celebration of life in memory of David July 1 at 6 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Lumber City.
