The guys then played Cook County for the region championship. The had quite an exciting day, but JD boys lost a heartbreaker 2-3.
Coach Mims said, “The guys have worked hard this season. Our new region has some tough tennis teams, and the battle with Cook on Wednesday couldn’t have been much closer.”Coach Brown said, “Our guys came to play. They didn’t hold back. We may not have gotten the region championship title, but we aren’t hanging our heads. We will re-evaluate, fix some things, and see where the state playoffs take us.”
JDH girls have no team to play in the first round. Therefore, the girls advance into the Sweet 16 round of state.
