Netters sweep Claxton, Dodge

Jeff Davis Varsity tennis traveled to Claxton last Monday.
Both varsity guys and girls swept Claxton with a 5-0 score. Marquez Patterson played number one singles for the guys, and he made quick work of his opponent with a 6-0, 6-1 win respectively. Cain Johnson and Alan Lopez also won quickly. They placed the ball terribly well, and they pulled a 6-0, 6-0 win against the Claxton team.
Presley Cox and Ava Coleman played doubles for the girls team against Claxton. They were able to be really aggressive and end points when needed (pulling a 6-0, 6-0 win).
Jeff Davis Varsity tennis hosted region opponent Dodge County last Tuesday. Both the guys and girls came out on top with a 5-0 score against the Indians.
Noel Munoz and Presley Cox pulled one of the first wins for the Jackets, only dropping 1 game total. Cori Mims also played a great match at her singles spot, eventually winning 6-2, 6-2. She placed the ball very well, and she hustled almost everything down.
The Jackets hosted Worth at home yesterday (Tuesday).
