Thompson is GMCA Treasurer

Vernice Thompson, City Clerk of Hazlehurst, has been elected to serve as treasurer of the Georgia Municipal Clerks Association (GMCA) for 2023. Treasurer Thompson was sworn in during the Business Meeting held Feb. 6 at Jekyll Island. Ms. Thompson has been a member of GMCA for many years and most recently served as secretary for the Georgia Municipal Clerks Association.
With a membership of more than 375 city clerks, the vision of the Georgia Municipal Clerks Association is to promote integrity and excellence through education and professional development, to strengthen and support its Membership, and to enhance its image.
