JV Gold defeats Bleckley

Jeff Davis Junior Varsity Gold improved to 3-0 last Wednesday with a 7-3 win over Bleckley County in Hazlehurst.
JD spotted the Royals to a 2-0 first inning lead and then chipped away at the lead to take a 7-2 advantage before Bleckley got a run in the final inning to account for the final score.
Four of the Yellow Jackets seven hits were for extra bases. Jude Worthington had a double and a triple. Mason Ragland doubled and drove in two runs, Andrew White had a double and an RBI, Braydon Lolley had a single and two RBI, Haydon King had a single and an RBI, and Jonathan Bohannon singled.
Treyton Webster took the win. He started on the mound and went four innings, giving up two runs on three hits, a walk and seven strikeouts. Lolley pitched two innings, giving up one run on no hits, walking two and striking out three. Reese Mullis pitched one inning, walking three and striking out two.
