JV Blue nips Vidalia 1-0

Jeff Davis Junior Varsity Blue defeated Vidalia 1-0 as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Jonathan Bohannon struck out Noah Hamilton to finish off the game.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Jeff Davis pitchers struck out 12, while Vidalia pitchers sat down seven.
One bright spot for Vidalia was a single by Jackson Berry in the first inning.
Colby Beach was on the pitcher’s mound for Jeff Davis. The hurler surrendered zero runs on three hits over four innings, striking out six and walking zero.
Berry toed the rubber for Vidalia. The bulldog allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out four and walking zero. Andrew Norfleet threw two innings in relief.
Braydon Lolley, Ethan Baltazar, Jude Worthington, Carter Wooten, and Dylan Carelock each collected one hit to lead Jeff Davis JV Blue. Jeff Davis didn’t commit a single error in the field. Carelock had 12 chances in the field, the most on the team.
