Girls drop two more

Jeff Davis High’s girls basketball team dropped two more games last week, falling 72-29 to Berrien County last Tuesday in Nashville and losing 65-25 to Fitzgerald Friday in Hazlehurst.
Seniors Analese Poole and Kelsey Parlor led the Lady Jackets’ offense in the two games with 18 and 14 points respectively.
Against Berrien, the Lady Jackets fell behind 33-10 at halftime and bounced back after intermission with a 14-pt. quarter. But the Lady Rebels topped the final quarter with a 22-5 edge to pull away to the final 43-pt. win.
Poole’s 10 points topped the JD scoring. Latrice Shivers scored five, including a 3-pt. shot, Parlor and Shantie Lewis had four each, Beautiful Thomas hit a 3-pt. shot, Destiny Ivory added two and Claire Stinson one.
Alyna Spruill and Jardaie Jenkins topped Berrien with 18 and 17.
In the Fitzgerald game, Parlor and Poole had 10 and 8 respectively to lead the Lady Jackets. Lewis had three and Shivers and Thomas had two piece.
Anwarneese Nixon led Fitzgerald with 17 points.
