Jayvees blank Dodge County

Carrie Ellen Arnold pitched a 3-hit shutout as Jeff Davis High’s jayvee softball team improved to 10-0-1 with an 8-0 win over Dodge County last Wednesday in Hazlehurst.
And Cori Mims and Alara McCall had hot bats for the Lady Jackets as both had a trio of singles and Mims drove in a run.
Claire Stinson also had a hot bat with a pair of singles and three RBI. Emma McEachin had two singles, Kira Buford singled, Jacie Jones had an RBI and Payten Warnock added a sacrifice bunt.
Arnold did not give up a free pass and she struck out nine.
The win was the Lady Jacket JV’s sixth shutout of the season.
