Jeff Davis High School tennis played the Appling County Pirates at home. Jeff Davis High boys lost a close match at 2-3. JDH girls won 4-1 against the Pirates.
Coach Mary Katherine Kemp bragged on the play from Marquez Patterson and Lexi Girtman at their singles positions.
JDH traveled to Ware County. The boys won 4-1 against the Gators. The girls pulled out a close one with a 3-2 win.
Coach Kemp applauded the play of Caleb Beach in his 2nd singles position for the boys. Coach Kemp also noted the play from Jacie Campbell and Demi Rush at their singles positions. They played some tough competition and didn’t miss a beat.
Region play will begin in March with JDH facing East Laurens on the road (March 1) and Swainsboro at home (March 3).
