JDMS Blue Wins Two

The Jeff Davis Middle School Blue Team had no problems rolling to a 14-1, 4-inning win over East Laurens Middle School last Thursday in East Dublin. And Monday at home, they spotted Arthur Williams Middle School of Jesup to a 3-0 lead and then came from behind to win 11-4.
Ethan Baltazar and Reese Mullis had the hot bats against East Laurens, both going 3-for-3 with a double, two singles and three RBI. Treyton Webster homered and singled and drove in three runs, Juan Pena had a pair of singles and three RBI, and Karter Galbreath singled.
Webster pitched three innings, giving up one run on one hit, no walks and five strikeouts. Caiden Webb threw an inning, giving up one hit, walking two and fanning one.
In Monday’s game, Josh Worthington had the hot bat, going 4-for-5 with two RBI. Noah Brantley had a pair of singles and three RBI, Dawson Moser had two singles, Galbreath had a single and two RBI, and Baltazar and Pena both had a single and an RBI.
Baltazar started on the mound and pitched three innings. He gave up three runs on three hits, walked five and struck out four. Mullis threw two hitless innings, blanking East Laurens while walking two and fanning four. Moser pitched an inning, giving up no runs on one hit, walking none and striking out one. Jeremiah Davis pitched the final inning, giving up one run on no hits, walking three, hitting one and striking out none.
