Girls Win 2 0f 3

Jeff Davis High’s girls lost two of three games over the last week while the boys lost their only game of the week.
The girls lost to Vidalia 38-31 in Hazlehurst last Tuesday, defeated Bacon County 40-37 Friday in Alma and dropped a makeup game to Vidalia 48-30 Saturday in Vidalia.
The boys lost to Vidalia 48-43 Tuesday in Hazlehurst and their game with Bacon County was cut short before halftime after a fight broke out in the gymnasium. (See story on Page 1)
Only four Jacket boys scored in the loss to Vidalia as Mike Dotson had 13, Brandon Sturgis 12, Ahmad Clements nine on a trio of 3-pt. shots, and Bran Swain eight.
Ty Dalley led Vidalia with 22 points.
In the Lady Jackets’ first game against Vidalia, Jeff Davis led at halftime 16-14 but the Lady Indians staged a comeback in the second half to win by seven.
Autumn Rhodes had 15 points to lead Jeff Davis. Jekiya Smith had six, Jasmin McNeely five, Tia Cornish three and Destiny Ivory two.
Kaliya Walker and Coriana Warner had 12 and 10 respectively for Vidalia.
Smith and Rhodes both hit in double digits against Bacon with 11 and 10 respectively. Cornish added eight, McNeely six, Le’Shantie Lewis three and Destiny Ebony two.
R. Andrews topped the Lady Raiders with 16 points.
The Lady Jackets fell behind early in Vidalia Saturday as the Lady Indians led 17-3 at the first stop.
Rhodes and Smith were again in double figures with 12 and 11 points respectively. McNeely had three, Cornish two and Lewis two.
Kaliya Walker led Vidalia with 12.
