Qualifying Fees Set

The Jeff Davis County Commissioners last month set the following qualifying fees for the 2022 local elections:
County Commissioner $180.00
Board of Education $126.00
State Court Solicitor $1,561.55
Judge, State Court $750.00
Qualifying begins at 9 a.m. March 7 and ends at noon March 11.
The General Primary Election, Nonpartisan General Election and Special Election will be held May 24 and the General Election will be held Nov. 8.
County Commission seats up for election will be Districts 4 and 5 (Whitehead and Ocmulgee now held by Brad Crews and Vann Wooten). The four Board of Education seats up for election will be Districts 3, 4 and 5 (Blackburn, Whitehead and Ocmulgee now held by Greg Brantley, John Girtman and Randy Smith) and At Large (now held by Roger Ogilvie).
