Cross Country runs in Jesup

The Jeff Davis High cross country squads traveled to Wayne County for a 15 team meet Oct. 14. The Wayne County meets are always competitive and fast as teams are prepping for the championship part of the season many of the runners will see either season best or personal record times on this fast and flat course.
This was no exception for the Yellow Jacket runners as six of eight boys and seven of eight girls either ran season best or personal best.
In the boys race Briley Reyes (6th), Levi Manning (8th), and Pierce Parlor (9th) led the way for the Yellow Jacket to finish second overall behind 6A South Effingham, currently ranked 6th in 6A.
In the girls race Zoie Marchant (7th) and Alex Uribe (11th) paced the Lady Jackets to a 4th place behind 4th ranked Savannah Arts in 3A, 6A South Effingham, and private school Fredrica Academy.
The cross country programs will travel to Honey Ridge Plantation in Guyton next week for their regular season finale at the Last Chance Honey Ridge meet.
