Mr. Bobby Lee Rainey Herrington, 19, of Hazlehurst, died Aug. 6.
Bobby was born in Appling County but lived most of his life in Jeff Davis.
He was a 2020 graduate of Jeff Davis High School, loved fishing, his church and church family, playing the guitar and watching wrestling. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and never met a stranger. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his parents, Danielle Shree and David Herrington of Hazlehurst; sister, Whitney Shree Herrington of Hazlehurst; maternal grandmother, Daisy Meek of Roberta; paternal grandmother, Margaret Hernandez of Hazlehurst; Nana and PaPa, Lynn and Pearl Smith; uncles, Bobby Smith of Hazlehurst, Darrell Meek of Hazlehurst, John Meek of Roberta and Harry Herrington of Baxley; aunts, Alberta Perkey of Hazlehurst, Harriett Gonzales of Baxley; special cousin, Austin Meek of Roberta; girlfriend, Nita Cordero of Metter.
Services were held Aug. 11 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Davis, the Rev. Joseph Davis and the Rev. Josh Ogletree officiating. Interment followed i Appling Memorial Garden in Baxley.
The 2020 graduating class of Jeff Davis High School served as honorary pallbearers.
Active pallbearers were Bobby Smith, Josh Ogletree Sr., Keith Lott, Josh Ogletree Jr., Zach Reese and Harry Herrington.
Music was rendered by the Rev. Josh Ogletree.
Wainright Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
