Mr. David Livingston, 70

Mr. David Livingston, 70, of Lumber City, died July 2 at his residence.
Mr. Livingston was born April 10, 1951, in Jeff Davis County.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Verdon Akarage Livingston and Lillie White Livingston and sister, Kathryn Miles.
He was owner and operator of Livingston’s IGA and a member and deacon of Lumber City Baptist Church. He had a very strong work ethic but in his spare time he loved hunting deer and turkey and fishing, also riding with his dogs.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Martha Jane Easler Livingston of Lumber City; son, Mark (Francie) Livingston of Cartersville; daughter, Amy (Adam) Cravey of Helena; brother, Larry Livingston of Lumber City; grandchildren, Carson Underwood Stone (Jody), Raegin Cravey (fiancé Zach Christian), and Rylie Cravey; great-granddaughter, Ayda J. Stone; two fur buddies, Turk and Scooter; nieces and nephews.
Services were held July 6 at Lumber City Baptist Worship Barn with the Rev. Ashley Tyree and the Rev. Joe McLeod officiating. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery with the Rev. Ryan Clements officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were current and former employees of Livingston’s IGA.
Active pallbearers were Terry Brown, Gary Webster, Jerry Nester, Bobby Brown, Randy Brewer and Mike Owens.
Music was rendered by the congregation and Janice Brown.
