Soccer boys advance to 2nd round

Jeff Davis High’s boys soccer team defeated Jasper County-Monticello 4-0 last week in Monticello in the opening round of the 2021 Georgia High School Association state playoffs.
The Jackets face Thomasville this Thursday in Thomasville. The Bulldogs, the No. 1 seed from Region 1-AA, defeated Johnson-Augusta 10-0 last week in the first round.
On the girls side, the Lady Jackets lost a heartbreaker in the opening round of the playoffs, falling 3-2 to Bleckley County in Cochran.
