Mrs. Glenda Phillips Martinez, 74

Mrs. Glenda Phillips Martinez, 74, of Hazlehurst, died Dec. 19 at her residence.
Mrs. Martinez was born July 21, 1946. She was formerly employed with News Group in Houston, Texas, and had lived in Jeff Davis County most of her life. Mrs. Martinez was preceded in death by her daughter, Gwen Davis, brothers, Clifford Phillips and sisters, Reba Leigh Waters, Verna Mae and Teresa Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Jose Cruz Martinez of Hazlehurst; son, Glen Hall of Hazlehurst; step-sons, Robert Martinez, Ricardo Martinez and Jose Martinez all of Houston, Texas; brothers, Grady Phillips of Livingstone, Texas, and Troy Phillips of Hazlehurst; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Dec. 23 at Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Andy Williams officiating.
