Pair pitch no-hitter

Jaci Underwood and Maeleigh Burns combined to pitch a no-hitter as Jeff Davis High’s jayvee softball team took a 6-0 win over Vidalia last Wednesday in Hazlehurst.
Underwood started the game and took the win. She threw four innings, walked one, and struck out two. Burns pitched the final two innings, earning a save. She walked none and struck out five.
Bentley Metts had a pair of singles, Jenna Miles doubled, Kalleigh Sellers tripled, and Analese Poole, Kelsey Parlor, Laisha Hernandez and Peyton Thigpen each had a single. Thigpen drove in two runs while Parlor, Poole and Ella Wood each had one RBI.
