Mr. Norman Trowell, 82
Mr. Norman Trowell, 82, of Hazlehurst, died Aug. 5 at Lumber City Nursing Home.
Mr. Trowell was born Sept. 14, 1936, in Bacon County to the late Cleon Trowell and the late Myrtle Hutchinson Trowell.
He was retired from Hazlehurst Mills and Fleetwood and for the past few years he has worked as a self-employed contractor. He was a member of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship and was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Inez Willoughby Trowell and brother, Virgil Trowell.
Survivors include his siblings, Kay and Gary Davis of Hattiesburg, Miss., Willis and Mary Ann Trowell of Hortense, Dianne and Ray Gilbreth of Hazlehurst and Barry and Mary Trowell of Hazlehurst; sisters, Mildred and Aaron Newham of Hazlehurst and Faye and Martin Stone of Jeffersonville; 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Aug. 8 in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Tyrone Hutchinson officiating.
Active pallbearers were Billy Baldwin, Michael Trowell, Christopher Corbitt, Curtis Trowell, Joe Hoda and Zachary Corbitt.
