Mr. Edward Dyal, 87

Mr. Edward Dyal, 87, of Snipesville, died Aug. 11 at his residence.
Mr. Dyal was born in Jeff Davis County to the late Vane Hamilton Dyal and the late Alma Wooten Dyal Crockett.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict and was retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural letter carrier.
He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Shelly Laine Dyal and step-father, Freeland Crockett.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Clevonia King Dyal of Denton; son and daughter-in-law, Vane and Theresa Dyal of Denton; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie Driskell of Denton, Susan and Wendell Johnson of West Green and Karen and Jeff Vann of Hazlehurst; brother, Obby Dyal of Lake City, Fla.; sisters Evelyn Long of Lake City, Fla., and Anne Osteen of Cedar Key, Fla.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Aug. 12 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
