Mr. Jonie Lee Hughes, 87

Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst announces the memorial service for Mr. Jonie Lee Hughes, 87, of Hazlehurst, who passed away July 17. A private memorial services will be held later.
Mr. Hughes was born in Jeff Davis County. He was the son of the late Ivey W. Hughes and Martha M. Walls Hughes. He was preceded in death by son Scott Howard Hughes; brothers James Hughes, Gene Hughes, Vernon Hughes, Larry Hughes, Howard Hughes and Wayne Hughes; sister Martha Jennell Dobbs. Mr. Hughes was retired from Roche Lab.
Survivors include wife Elsie Craver Hughes of Hazlehurst; children Bobby L. Dawson (Linda) of Willacoochee, Kevin E. Dawson, Jimmy and Sameythia Dawson, and Tim Dawson all of Hazlehurst; brother Bill Hughes (Louise) of Dublin; sister-in-law Mae Hughes of Dublin; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
