Mr. James Collice Morton Jr., 74

Mr. James Collice Morton Jr., 74, of Alma, passed away July 2 at his residence.
A memorial service was held July 5 at Elbethel Church with Dr. Tommy Huddleston officiating.
Mr. Morton was born Dec. 23, 1945, in Atlanta. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Collice Morton Sr. and Dorothy Fowler Morton. He was a Vietnam veteran having served with the United States Army. He retired after many years as a physician assistant.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Morton of Alma; sons, John Everett (Susan) Morton Sr. of Albany and Phillip Morton of Morgan City, La.; grandchildren, John Everett Morton Jr., Annabelle Morton, Madison Morton and Aiden Morton; sister, Janice (Danny) Parrott of Conyers; nieces, Ashley Wood and Olivia Blevins; the 95-year-old twin sister of his mother, his aunt, Doris Hobson. Also, special mention to Donna’s family whom he loved, Lucy (Dr. Tommy) Huddleston, Rebecca MaColly, Rachel Janowski and Stephen Huddleston.
