Mrs. Bernice Eva Collins McDaniel, 91

Mrs. Bernice Eva Collins McDaniel, 91 of Anniston, Ala., passed away June 21. A private graveside service was held June 25 in Hazlehurst, where she was buried beside her loving husband, the late W. M. McDaniel.
Mrs. McDaniel was born on March 25, 1929. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe Collins and Sudie McKenzie Collins; grandson, Collin Andrew McDaniel; and 12 brothers and sisters. She lived most of her life in Hazlehurst and raised her family there. She was known for her beautiful alto voice and loved to sing in the choir at Elizabeth Baptist Church. She played the piano by ear. Everyone who ever ate her cooking wanted her homemade dumpling recipe and she happily made them for anyone who asked. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with her kind smile.
She is survived by her son Carey (Lisa) McDaniel; granddaughters Mishelle Roberts (Brent Moseley) and Angellyn McDaniel; great-grandchildren Colton Moseley and Arwen Roberts all of Anniston, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.
