Mr. Bobby Stokes, 80

Mr. Bobby Stokes, 80, of Hazlehurst, died June 23 at Lumber City Nursing Home.
Mr. Stokes was born Sept. 13, 1939, in Denton to the late Sam Howell Stokes and the late Agnes Long Stokes. He was a farmer, retired from Hazlehurst Mills and a member of Denton Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Stokes and brother-in-law, Hubert Matthews.
Survivors include his sister, Betty Jo Stokes Matthews of Hazlehurst; nieces and nephews, Karen Lee of McDonough, Gail Antwine (Jimmy) of Statham and Michael Matthews of Alpine, Ala.; special cousins, Roy (Marie) Ellis of Augusta and Marvine Hill of Jacksonville, Fla.
Graveside services were held June 25 in Denton Cemetery with Roy Ellis giving a eulogy and the Rev. Van McCall officiating.
Music was rendered by Angie McCall.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
