Mrs. Geraldine Varnadoe Stroup, 80

Mrs. Geraldine Varnadoe Stroup, 80, passed away May 21 at Hazlehurst Court Nursing Home in Hazlehurst.
Geraldine loved to go fishing in her pond and work in her yard and flower beds. She enjoyed having family and friends over for cookouts and just to enjoy each other’s company.
Geraldine was the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Varnadoe and Ruth Lovvorn Varnadoe. She was preceded by her husband Hubert O. Stroup, beloved son Brain H. Scott, brothers James W. Varnadoe, Mitchell Varnadoe Sr., and her Papa and MA maw Lovvorn.
Survivors include her sister Patsy Varnadoe Hamilton; niece Cindy Cabral; nephews Mitch and Darrell Varnadoe; sister-in-law Irene S. Varnadoe; great nephews Derrick Cabral, and Michael Cabral; great nieces Ana and Ashley Varnadoe; cousin Clemmie Lovvorn, and loving friends.
Graveside services will be June 6 at 2 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery. Wainwright–Parlor Funeral Home is in charge.
