Mr. Roy Emory Powell, 60

Mr. Roy Emory Powell, 60, of Hazlehurst, passed away June 14 at his daughters’ residence in Douglas.
He was the son of the late Eudon Powell and Margret Merritt Dennis. Mr. Powell worked in the construction industry for many years and was a member of Macedonia Church of God in Denton.
He is survived by daughters April Reliford of Douglas and Savannah Skinner of Hazlehurst; granddaughters Alissa Hollinger and Hope Hollinger both of Douglas; grandson Jordan Hollinger of Douglas; great-grandson Eli Rangel of Douglas; great-granddaughter Ellah Rangel of Douglas; brother Charles Powell of Hazlehurst; sisters Janice Powell and Bernice Atkinson both of Hazlehurst
Other than his parents Mr. Powell is preceded in death by his brother JR Atkinson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Macedonia Church of God with the Rev. Van McCall officiating.
Memorization will be by cremation.
