It’s Bohannon, Taylor, Crosby, Carter and Cray

While many Jeff Davis County voters cast their ballots early or by absentee ballot, the voting was brisk in Tuesday’s Primary Election.
In local contested races ….
…. incumbent Sheriff Preston Bohannon easily out-polled challenger Geoffrey Parker in the Republican Primary.
…. Jason Taylor defeated Herman Sellers in the Republican Primary for Probate Judge. He will face Democrat Glenn Harris in the November General Election.
…. incumbent Altamaha District County Commissioner Ricky Crosby survived a challenge from Rhonda Walsh in the Republican Primary.
…. incumbent Republican Tommy Carter out-polled challenger James Buford.
…. and in the Democratic Primary James Earl Cray defeated Calvin Kornegay in the Board of Education At-Large Seat. He will face Republican David Miller in November.
In the Republican Primary for State Representative to replace incumbent Jimmy Pruett, former Telfair County Sheriff Chris Steverson out-polled Robert Pruitt in Jeff Davis County. District results were unavailable at press time.
