Mrs. Betty Ward Varnadoe, 85

Mrs. Betty Ward Varnadoe, 85, of Lumber City, died April 25 at her residence.
Mrs. Varnadoe was born Nov. 2, 1934, in Telfair County to the late Thomas Drew Ward and the late Bessie Cravey Ward. She was a retired accountant with Brian Center Nursing Home and a member of Lumber City Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Comer Varnadoe and brother, William Harold Ward.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Gil Sally of Lumber City and Sharon and Glenn Browning of Lumber City; sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Jerry Ann Varnadoe of Lumber City and Greg Varnadoe of McRae; 13 grandchildren. 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services were held April 27 in Riverside Cemetery with the Rev. David Deen officiating.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
