Mr. Monroe Hatton, 77

Mr. Monroe Hatton, 77, of Denton, passed away April 10.
Mr. Hatton was born July 12, 1942, in Hazlehurst. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mathis Monroe Hatton and Donna Mae Powell Hatton, and son, Brian Kevin Hatton. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served over 13 years with the United States Army. He was a member of Macedonia Church of God and was a retired truck driver. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward Hatton and J.W. Peace.
He is survived by his wife, Melcene Wilcox Hatton of Denton; son, Stuart (Selena) Hatton of Denton; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Marteel Deen of Indiana and Sue Powell of Lumber City; brother Tommy Peace of Hazlehurst; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held April 18 with J.R. Wilcox officiating.
Wainright & Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
