Mrs. Martha Harper Pridgen, 89

Mrs. Martha Harper Pridgen, 89, of Hazlehurst, died April 13 at Jeff Davis Hospital.
Mrs. Pridgen was born July 5, 1930, in Coffee County to the late Jack Harper and the late Edna Dykes Harper.
She was a homemaker and member of Macedonia Church of God. She is preceded in death by her son, Sam Smith and grandson, Jeremy Smith.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jerry Merritt of Snipesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Roy Jr. and Linda Smith of Snipesville, Billy Smith of Snipesville and Jeff and Karen Vann of Snipesville; eight grandchildren;15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held April 15 at Denton Cemetery with the Rev. Van McCall officiating.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
