Mrs. Idella (Della) Fisher, 65

Services for Mrs. Idella (Della) Fisher, 65, who died April 14, were held April 19 at Morgan Chapel Church Cemetery in Graham. The Rev. Jamie Haynes officiated.
Mrs. Fisher was born April 14, 1955, in Hazlehurst and later lived with her Aunt Maddie in Red Bank, N.J. She ran track and played basketball in high school and after 10 years in New Jersey returned to Hazlehurst. She later moved to Ft. Meade, Fla., where she married Ivory Eugene Robinson who preceded her in death. Together they had four daughters.
Mrs. Fisher and her daughters later returned to Hazlehurst and she ended up living with her long time partner Ernest Ligon.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Samuel and Rosie Fisher, and a sister, Rosa Fisher.
Survivors include her partner for 25 years Ernest Ligon; daughters Latonia Robinson of Oakland, Calif., Dr. LaVonia (Desmon Sr.) Smith of Pickerington, Ohio, Shandalyn Fisher of Hazlehurst and Lashon Fisher of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren Desmon Jr., Troy, Aaliyah, LaDrea, Ivy and Bryson; siblings Olivia, Samuel, Maxine, Carlo, Mary, Melva, Susie, Sharon, Linda and Randy; and nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers were Carlos Fisher, Patrick West, Ramone Fisher, Desmon Smith, Lorenzo West, and Michael Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers were cousins and nephews,
Flower attendant was Turkeisha Fisher.
King Brothers Funeral Home was in charge.
