Mrs. Christine Sandiford Joyce, 88

Mrs. Christine Sandiford Joyce, 88, of Hazlehurst, died April 11 at her daughter’s residence.
Mrs. Joyce was born June 30, 1931, in Telfair County to the late Homer Sandiford and the late Bessie Strickland Sandiford. She was a retired seamstress and member of Lumber City Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Joyce, granddaughter, Debra Colson, siblings, Herman Sandiford, Martha Wilkerson and Emily Powell.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Marie and James Davis of Hazlehurst; sons and daughter-in-law, Charles Buttram of Brunswick and Richard H. and Nancy K. Joyce of Brunswick; grandchildren, Rhonda Sellers, Joshua Buttram, Ashley Joyce and Katelyn Lintner; great-grandchildren, Mika Pearson and Donovan Dickey; brother, Waymon Sandiford of Leesburg; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held April 14 at Palms Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Ashley Tyree officiating.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
