Ms. Georgia Mae McDaniel Sharpe, 80

Ms. Georgia Mae McDaniel Sharpe, 80, of Hazlehurst, died March 13 at her residence.
Ms. Sharpe was born Feb. 8, 1940, in Jeff Davis County to the late Otho McDaniel and the late Inez Carter McDaniel. She was a retired dietician with Jeff Davis Hospital and a member of Oak View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Wilbur Parlor.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Smith of Hazlehurst; son, Jeffrey Sharpe of Hazlehurst; siblings, Aaron McDaniel (Marilyn), Corine Sellers (Herman), Cherry Claxton (E.H.) and Lydia Parlor, all of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Brandon Smith (Anna), Ryan Sharpe, Rylee Sharpe and Laycoln Georgia Sharpe; great-grandchildren, Noah Smith and Brooklyn Smith; several nieces and nephews.
Service were held March 17 at Oak View Baptist Church with grandson, Brandon Smith giving a eulogy, the Rev. Ben Glosson and the Rev. Keith Yawn officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were all family and friends in attendance.
Active pallbearers were E.H. Claxton, Pierce Parlor, Peyton Parlor, Mitchell Newham, Crandall Parlor and Darren McDaniel.
Music was rendered by Jason and April Parlor, Hal Cox and Matthew Herndon.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
