Mrs. Hazel Yawn Worth, 70, of Hazlehurst died March 9 at Jeff Davis Hospital.
Mrs. Worth was born Oct. 29, 1949, in Jeff Davis County to the late John Gideon Yawn and the late Ruby Lewis Yawn. She was a homemaker and a member of Hazlehurst Church of God. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Linda O’Neil, Jimmy Yawn and Donald Yawn.
Survivors include her husband, John Worth of Hazlehurst; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Chad McDaniel of Hazlehurst; son and daughter-in-law, Stacy and Staci Worth of Vidalia; siblings, Wilbur Yawn (Wynell), Johnny Yawn, Sherryl Holton (Andy) and Glenn Yawn (Maria); six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services were held March 12 at Hazlehurst Church of God with the Rev. John Nunes, the Rev. Gino Mayo and the Rev. Nathan Smith officiating. Interment followed in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were all family and friends in attendance.
Active pallbearers were Stacy Worth, Staci Worth, Caleb Worth, Levi Worth, Chad McDaniel, Sherry McDaniel, Lysie Ron McNeal and Pye McNeal.
Music was rendered by Janet Allen, Winona Jowers, Danny Burns, Randy Rentz, Charles and Tina Brantley.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
