Lopez is Migrant Student of the Year in Georgia

Paola Lopez, a senior at Jeff Davis High School, was recognized Feb. 18 at the Georgia Department of Education as the 2020 Migrant Student of the Year for the Georgia. Georgia School Superintendent Richard Woods, recognized Ms. Lopez for her accomplishments and presented her a certificate. Ms. Lopez’s mother, father, and sister also attended the ceremony. Special thanks goes to Migrant Liaison Sandy Aycock for recommending Ms. Lopez and for taking them to Atlanta for the ceremony.
