Mrs. Janice Hughes Prescott, 65

Mrs. Janice Hughes Prescott, 65, of Douglas, died Jan. 14 at McRae Manor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Prescott was born Oct. 13, 1954, in Jeff Davis County to the late Joe Hughes and the late Merleen Dunn Hughes. She was retired from Walmart Distribution and a member of True Light Ministries. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Hughes.
Survivors include her husband, Marcus Prescott of Tennessee; daughter, Mandy Davis of Douglas; son, Ken Prescott of Douglas; sisters, Belinda Hughes of Warner Robins, Linda Faye Tanner of Alma, Susan Walker of Alma and Tish Kelly Naegele of Atlanta; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Jan. 18 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with her son, Ken, giving the eulogy and Dr. Ricky Roberts officiating. Interment followed in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
Music was rendered by Jordan Davis.
Active pallbearers were Johnathan Pruitt, Conway Vickers, Jason Overstreet, Joe Tanner, Christian Walker, and Jim Walker.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
