JD Forward Begins In February

The Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis Chamber of Commerce will again kick off the JD Forward Leadership Academy this year in February. The Chamber is seeking nominations for the class.
The JD Forward Leadership Academy is an eight-month program offering an intensive and up-close look at the most challenging issues and opportunities facing our community. JD Forward Leadership Academy is designed to cultivate, inspire and educate our community’s leaders and is aimed at igniting the leadership of the community to advance Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis County.
Why apply? The program will expand your leadership capacity through immersion into the realities and opportunities of our community and will allow you to collaborate with the top community leaders and organizations while developing deep relationships with a network of diverse colleagues. The program also helps participants gain valuable insight into the most challenging issues facing our community and aims to ignite positive change in our community.
Applicants must have an interest in furthering his/her knowledge about Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis County and community leadership and commit to full participation in the JD Forward program. The program requires a major time commitment so please be sure you can make this commitment before applying. Participant’s employer must be willing to pay $550 program fee and allow employee time off to participate.
