Jackets averaging 37 points per game

Five games into the 2019 football season, Jeff Davis High’s Aahiyus Allen has 492 yards rushing and six touchdowns on 58 carries to lead the rushing statistics.
The 5-0 Jackets have a balanced running attack, as four other players have over 250 yards rushing. Austin Wood has 274 yards and two TDs on 37 carries, Jashaun Kirby has 259 yards on 41 carries, and Bradley Owens has picked up 257 yards and scored three times on 23 carries.
Tre Chandler has added 100 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries.
Quarterback Britt Metts is 25 for 38 passing for 302 yards and six touchdowns.
Greg Chambers leads the receiving corp with 11 catches for 124 yards, Michael Dotson has three receptions for 77 yards and a TD, and Matthew Glass has 25 yards and two touchdowns on two catches.
Caleb Parlor continues to lead the defensive stats with 22 solo tackles, 14 assists, three tackles for losses and a pass interception.
JD has 1,853 yards of total offense while giving up just 878 yards.
The Jackets have rushed for 1,551 yards and picked up 302 passing.
