The candidates are set for the Nov. 5 City of Hazlehurst election. And all three seats are opposed.
Qualifying last week to run for mayor were incumbent Bayne Stone and Ward 3 Commissioner Eric Griffin.
Qualifying for Griffin’s spot on the council, were Diane Leggett and Johnny Miles.
And qualifying for the Ward 4 position were incumbent John Bloodworth and challenger Rickey Phillips.
The last day to register to vote in the election is Oct. 7, early voting begins Oct. 14, and the election is Nov. 5 at the Jeff Davis County Courthouse.
