Mrs. Beatrice Ray Miller, 86

Mrs. Beatrice Ray Miller, 86, of Denton, died June 20 at Lumber City Nursing Home.
Mrs. Miller was born Oct. 16, 1932, in Jeff Davis County to the late Ed Lee Ray and the late Joannah Currie Ray.
She was a homemaker, retired school bus driver employed with Jeff Davis County Board of Education and a member of Denton Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Miller and siblings, Catherine Hester, Silas Ray, Lona Ray, Alfred Ray, Oliver Ray, Eugene Ray and C.A. Ray.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Keith Carter of Hazlehurst, Phyllis and Eddis Kirkland of Hazlehurst and Maxie Jo and Norman Haynes of Hazlehurst; sister, Marilyn Ray of Denton; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held June 21 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Wigley officiating.
Interment followed in Mt Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Lumber City Nursing Home.
Active pallbearers were Archie Miller, Niles Dixon, Charlie Harrell, John Carol Bruner, Kevin Carter, and John Bruner.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
